About Zahid B. Niazi, MD

Dr. Niazi specializes in Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is Board certified in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery and has over 30 years of experience in the field of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery. He started work in New York at Westchester Medical Center with the New York Group for Plastic Surgery in 1995 and then moved to the West Coast in 2004 and started his Plastic Surgery practice in Sacramento and surrounding areas. Dr. Niazi has been actively involved in medical leadership throughout his career as exemplified by serving as the Chief of Surgery, Chief of Craniofacial Surgery, Chief of Microvascular Surgery and the Chief of Staff. Dr. Niazi has an extensive publication list (over 150 articles, book chapters etc) and lectures nationally and internationally on plastic and reconstructive surgery. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland; He is certified in Plastic Surgery by the Royal College of Surgeons & the British Association of Plastic Surgeons, UK; He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons as a specialist in Plastic Surgery. He is a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine. He is an Associate member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons & an Associate Editor of the Romanian Plastic Surgery Society. He is a member of the Millard Society and O’Brien Microsurgery society. He continues as section editor of Body contouring for the American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Niazi was elected as an Associate member of the American Academy of Cosmetic surgery in 2007 and then elected to become a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery in 2011.
