About Yardy Tse, MD

Yardy Tse, MD is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in Mohs surgery, reconstructive, laser and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Tse received her medical degree from the University of Michigan where she completed the prestigious Inteflex program, an accelerated undergraduate-medical program by which she was accepted into medical school directly after high school. She graduated in 1990 with Honors in Dermatology and Distinction in Research. After completing an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Tse received her Dermatology specialty training at New York University (NYU) where she was honored as Chief Resident. She then further advanced her training in skin cancer surgery and cosmetic/laser surgery through a specialized fellowship training in Mohs Surgery and Laser/Cosmetic Surgery at NYU. Dr. Tse is one of only a handful of fellowship-trained Mohs surgeons in San Diego County. Mohs surgery, the most precise and effective method of treating skin cancer, has the highest cure rate for skin cancer and this, combined with Dr. Tse’s surgical expertise in reconstructive surgery provides the patient with the optimal surgical outcome.* Dr. Tse has been in practice for over 20 years and she has a wealth of expertise in the treatment of all aspects of aging, all with the goal of providing her patients the most natural looking, believable outcomes.* She routinely combines lasers, injectables such as Botox, Juvederm, Restylane, and minimally invasive surgical procedures to enhance each patient’s own personal beauty.* As a former Assistant of Clinical Professor at UCSD, Dr. Tse has taught scores of residents and medical students She has authored numerous scientific articles and textbook chapters on laser surgery, chemical peels, skin cancer and reconstructive surgery. Born in Taiwan, the Republic of China, Dr. Tse is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. She and her husband, Rick Faber, live in Del Mar and in her spare time, she enjoys travel, skiing, interior design, and being a mom to their two young children.
