About William Myers, DDS
Dr. William (B.J.) Myers, Jr. began his education with a B.A. degree in biology from Texas A&M University. He then earned his dental degree, graduating magna cum laude from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1997. There he was awarded several academic awards, including the Award for Clinical Excellence, and participated in extra-curricular externships, in order to further advance his clinical education. Dr. Myers began his practice of dentistry as an associate of another successful practice in Northwest Austin, where he worked for four years. He later established his ""dream practice"" where he has happily operated for over 10 years. He continues to enhance his professional expertise by attending ongoing continuing education courses that keep him at the forefront of modern dentistry. Most exciting to him are advances in cosmetic dentistry and also innovative techniques that ease the patient's dental experience. He is a member of dental societies on the national, state and local levels and is also a member of the Christian Medical and Dental Society. Dr. Myers values community-wide dental education. He delivers presentations to area schools as an outreach to the public. He believes firmly in the significance of the family and grass roots efforts to build strong communities and neighborhoods. Dr. Myers is known among his friends and colleagues for his friendly charm and outgoing personality. Always a ""people person,"" Dr. Myers particularly enjoys dentistry because it allows him to use his intellectual and clinical skills while meeting new and interesting people all day! He has extensive experience working with people of all ages and has a special ability to put patients, especially children, at ease. Dr. Myers is a native Austinite who graduated from nearby Westlake High School. He has been married to his wife, Darcy, for many wonderful years and they have two awesome kids. During his free time, he enjoys watching and playing sports, being outdoors, and spending time with his family.
