About Whitney Fisk, MD
Whitney Fisk MD, studied psychology and neuroscience as an undergraduate at Princeton University and then received her Master's degree in nutrition science from Columbia University. She returned to California to complete medical school at the University of California, Davis, where she was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honors society. During her training, she co-founded a nutrition education program at the Willow free clinic in Sacramento and was a medical volunteer for the Medicos exchange program in Nicaragua. She also had the opportunity to work at the UCSF Psoriasis, Phototherapy and Skin treatment clinic where she was involved in clinical trials for psoriasis and was trained in the Goeckerman method of treating severe psoriasis. After a medical internship in San Francisco, she completed her dermatology residency at the University of California, Davis, where she served as Chief Resident. She has published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and authored several book chapters on a broad range of topics including acne, psoriasis, rosacea and hyperpigmentation disorders. Dr. Fisk's clinical interests include skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, inflammatory skin conditions and cosmetic dermatology.
