About Weimin K. Hu, MD, PhD
Board-certified dermatologist Weimin K Hu, MD, PhD, is a co-partner at Specialists in Dermatology PLLC in Tucson, Arizona, where she’s practiced since 2008. She graduated with honors from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. Dr. Hu went on to obtain MD and PhD dual degrees from St. Louis University, where she graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha medical society honors and PhDs in pharmacology and physiology. She completed dermatology residency training at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Hu finished fellowship training at Oregon Health Science University Medical Center with renowned Dr. Neil Swanson and Dr. Ken Lee, where she specialized in Mohs micrographic surgery and cosmetic dermatology. With extensive experience treating skin cancer with Mohs and other surgeries, Dr. Hu stays up-to-date with the latest advances in cosmetic dermatology to help each patient look and feel beautiful. She actively participates in dermatological research and published numerous clinical papers in prestigious dermatology journals. Dr. Hu is board-certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Mohs Surgery, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. She offers high-quality patient care with flexible scheduling. Dr. Hu is a hands-on provider, always puts patients’ needs first, and is proficient in English and Chinese.
