About Walter S. Tjoa, MD
I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work here because of my wonderful colleagues and patients, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health. I have wanted to be a physician since early childhood. I got my medical education in Belgium and came to the United States for further education and training. Before starting my practice here, I was at St. Luke's Hospital-Temple University in Pennsylvania, the State University of New York, and the University of Miami. Dermatology as a career is a very special opportunity to connect and help people in a meaningful way, utilizing medical skills and knowledge, but also listening and responding to what patients need. It is a privilege to help patients fully understand issues about their health that concern them, and to translate what they may not grasp. I feel honored that patients have entrusted me with their care and strive to treat them as I would my own family.
