About Vishakha M. Sharma, MD
I've always known I wanted to be a physician but did not discover dermatology until I was in medical school. I love dermatology because of the important work I can do in treating members and educating them about skin cancer and skin disease. I moved here from Chicago with my husband and two beautiful little children, and we have fallen in love with Southern California. Since then, we've added a new little one to our family and we couldn't be happier. I am excited to be here and to be your physician! I enjoy seeing members of all ages, from the tiny little ones to the more mature! I strongly believe in education and keeping each member an active participant in their own health care. I also believe in teamwork, and one of the first things I noticed about the Dermatology Department at Kaiser Permanente was how closely all the physicians, nurses, and staff work together. I feel fortunate to be a part of this caring group. I love life and firmly believe in Kaiser Permanente's philosophy of health in body, mind, and spirit. I enjoy traveling, learning languages, playing the piano, reading, and (most importantly) playing with my three rambunctious little girls!
