About Tracy M. Katz, MD
Tracy Katz, M.D. is board-certified through the American Board of Dermatology and has practiced cosmetic and medical dermatology in her native Houston, Texas for the past six years. She attended The University of Texas at Austin and graduated with Honors with a degree in Government and Biology in 2002. She then attended the University of Texas Medical School in Houston from which she graduated in 2007. Dr. Katz completed an internship in internal medicine at The University of Texas Medical School in Houston followed by residency in dermatology at The University of Kansas in Kansas City, MO. She has also completed a laser and cosmetic fellowship during which time she published over 18 peer-reviewed articles. In 2017 and 2018 Dr. Katz was elected by her peers as Houstonia Magazine’s Top Doctor in Dermatology. She was also elected by her peers in 2017 and 2018 as Texas Monthly’s Top Doctor Rising Star Edition in Dermatology. Dr. Katz has lectured on the national level at the American Society of Lasers in Medical Science annual conference and is passionate about the use of lasers in treating various dermatological issues. She has also lectured at the Houston Dermatological Society and has also served as Investigator in over 45 dermatology related clinical trials. Dr. Katz is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, Texas Dermatological Society, and Houston Dermatological Society. Dr. Katz is proficient in the screening and surgical treatment of skin cancer, the treatment of all medical dermatological conditions and sees patients of all ages. She is a skilled injector of all cosmetic injectables including neurotoxins, dermal fillers, and Kybella. She is experienced in the use of many lasers and procedures including ablative CO2 laser resurfacing, non-ablative fractionated resurfacing, IPL, Ultherapy, and microneedling with PRP. Dr. Katz is married to her husband Aaron and they have two sons, Brooks and Jack and live in Bellaire. She is dedicated to the Houston community and is so excited to welcome everyone to The Pearl Dermatology.
