About Tina S. Liang, DMD
Dr. Tina Liang is a graduate of Wellesley college, summa cum laude, graduate of university of Pennsylvania school of dental medicine and Tufts university with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D). Magna Cum Laude. She was selected to 1 of 4 coveted spots from thousands of applicants for residency training at Harvard university affiliated hospitals: Brigham and Women’s, Beth Israel, Dana Farber, Deaconess, Children’s Hospital. She was chosen to be chief resident and a dental consultant for Dana Farber Cancer Institute. After her extensive training, she was recruited by Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia to be the Director of their General Practice Residency Program, an affiliate of University of Pennsylvania School of Dental medicine and Temple university. Dr, Liang operated one of the largest and highly reputable GPR program in the country within a level I trauma hospital. Her program is one of the most sought after by senior dental students . After 12 years, Dr. Liang and her husband Dr. Bruce Liang were recruited to UCONN Heath as professors and private practice . Dr. Liang has won many awards such as phi beta kappa , Xigma Xi, Durant Scholar in college. In Dental School, Dr. Liang graduated 3rd of class of 145 elected to OKU, the dental honor society for academic excellence, community services and good character. She won awards in Operative dentistry, Periodontics, Dentures and Partials. Full Scholarships to Wellesley and to university of Pennsylvania school of Dental Medicine. She was awarded the best faculty at Albert Einstein and UConn school of Dental Medicine. Dr. Liang is certified to do implant dentistry and her main interest are cosmetic and implants dentistry. Her first implants were done in 1989 as faculty of the Pennsylvania Implant Dentistry center. Dr. Liang has 30 years of experience in comprehensive Dentistry. She has treated adults and children for 3 decades and continues to teach dental students at UCONN in Farmington. She is fluent in English, Chinese and understands Spanish. Dr. Liang is knowledgeable, skillful, and compassionate to all patients.
