About Susan S. Hong, DMD

Dr. Hong received her degree in dentistry from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1997 and completed an additional year of hospital based training at Staten Island University Hospital. She was in private practice in downtown New York City and also served as a clinical instructor at Columbia University School of Dentistry before relocating to Southern California. Her new San Diego practice now provides the same warm and welcoming environment as did her New York practice. While staying current with the latest technologies and advances in dentistry, Dr. Hong is committed to understanding the needs and concerns of each individual patient. “Beautiful and healthy smiles are created by a personal and thoughtful approach to the patient’s needs using the best dental materials and state of the art technology”. She understands the anxiety that may be associated with visiting the dentist. Beyond the Massaging Dental Chairs and personal TV’s, Dr. Hong also offers Nitrous Oxide Sedation as well as Sleep Dentistry or Conscious Sedation to help anxious patients receive their treatment in a comfortable and safe environment. Dr. Hong is an active member of the Seattle Study Club, San Diego Advanced Study Club and the California Dental Association. She strongly believes in staying current with the latest technology and continually attends Continuing Education courses throughout the year. Before opening her Rancho Bernardo office, Dr. Hong practiced in Downtown San Diego for 10 years which she sold in 2014. She decided that she wanted to practice in the community in which she lives and enjoys. She and her husband reside in Rancho Penasquitos with their three young children. In her free time, they are busy with school and sports activities.
