About Steven Z. Hechtman, DDS
Dr. Hechtman is a native of Michigan having been born in Detroit. He completed his undergraduate studies at Wayne State University and attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry graduating in 1973. Dr. Hechtman has been helping his patients achieve their dental health goals for over 35 years. He is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care for you. To meet that goal, he has over 1000 hours of post graduate education including oral-systemic health, dental conscious sedation, esthetics, periodontics, and endodontics. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Oakland County Dental Society, and the Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Hechtman is a member of a group of dentists who are advancing dentistry to include preventing and treating oral health problems that can lead to increased risks for systemic diseases such as heart attacks, strokes, diabetes, and premature & low birth weight babies. His practice is on the leading edge of diagnosing, preventing, and treating oral health and gum disease in order to not only save teeth, but save lives. Dr. Hechtman has a reputation for being at the front of the curve in the most recent trends and thinking in dental health.
