About Steven Cohen, DDS

Dr. Steven Cohen was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1986. Years later, he moved to Michigan to practice General Dentistry. Dr. Cohen is an active member of the Detroit Communities and frequently volunteers his time and services to local programs and events. For almost two decades, he has maintained a commitment to educating children on the importance of Dental Health during Children’s Dental Health Awareness Month. To Date, his Dental Awareness Programs have reached more than 20,000 children. In addition, Dr. Cohen participates in the Dearborn Senior Health Fair each year. Dr. Cohen is a member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the Detroit District Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Carl O. Boucher Prosthodontic Society. He is also a member of DOCS, the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, and is the co-founder of the Dream Dentistry Network, a group of local dentists who devote a portion of their dental practices to caring for patients with dental anxiety. Dr. Cohen enjoys all aspects of General Dentistry and has a special interest in Cosmetic Dentistry and Periodontal Prosthesis—a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment, correction and maintenance of patients with cases of advanced and/or debilitating gum disease. Dr. Cohen is married and has four children. He is an avid fisherman and a member of the Backlashers Bass Club of Livonia. He also enjoys reading and is dedicated to lifelong personal growth, self-improvement, and positive thinking.
