About Steven B. Buckley, DDS
A graduate of Rice University, Dr. Buckley received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1981. While at UTHSCSA, he went on to complete an Anesthesiology Internship in 1982 and his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1985. Dr. Buckley received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1988. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (1990) and a Fellow in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In addition to his national professional organizations, he is a member of the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and The Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Buckley has lectured both locally and nationally. He has authored and co-authored several clinical publications and is well versed in all areas of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Buckley’s practice encompasses all areas of oral and maxillofacial surgery including dental implants, reconstructive surgery and the surgical treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. He maintains staff privileges at Southwest Texas Methodist Hospital. He has been in private practice since 1988 in the San Antonio area. Dr. Buckley’s outside interests include family activities, golf and physical fitness.
