About Stephanie H. Nguyen, DMD
In high school, Dr. Nguyen was passionate with Fine Arts and won numerous awards nationally through the Scholastic Arts competition. In college, she pursued a BS in Biology because of her love for the sciences and graduated Summa Cum Laude. To combine both the love of art and science, she pursued a career in dentistry.StephanieNguyen-049retouch2 In 2001, Dr. Nguyen received her dental degree as a Dean’s scholar from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania which was rated the top 5 dental schools in the nation. Upon graduation, Dr. Nguyen was the recipient of the Anna and Dr. Louis Wolf Scholarship, the E. Howell Smith Award in Prosthetic Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists Award for her academic excellence. After graduation, she practiced in Maryland for a few years before relocating with her husband ,who was a Navy physician, to San Diego on military orders. She has been treating patients in the San Diego Area for over ten years. Dr. Nguyen continues to further her education by taking courses in implant restorations, esthetic periodontal surgery, cosmetic dentistry, Progressive Orthodontic Seminars, Invisalign, Sleep Apnea, Lumineers and Snap-on Smiles. Dr. Nguyen is the proud mother of two beautiful children, Kaylee and Ethan, who are the center of her world. Her hobbies include painting, stone sculpting and photography.
