About Stephan J. Kempiak, MD
I am a native Southern Californian who was born and grew up as a Kaiser Permanente member in Los Angeles. I became a physician because I wanted to make a positive change in people’s lives by treating and helping them understand their diseases. After obtaining my bachelor’s degree from Revelle College at UC San Diego, I went to medical school in the Bronx, New York, then moved right back to California. I have settled in our wonderful county of San Diego and enjoy spending time with my wife and children. I like to take care of all aspects of dermatology! I enjoy seeing patients of all ages, from the little ones to the great big ones, and enjoy the stories and history of every person that I see. Also, I’m pleased to work with a team of such intelligent, skilled, and dedicated physicians. We work well together and strive to be respectful and attentive to each of our patients. I keep my life balanced by spending time with my wife and kids. When I have free time, I like to run, play guitar, and occasionally go surfing.
