About Stan Castor, MD

Dr. Stan Castor, Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon, practices cosmetic Plastic Surgery at his office in Tampa, Florida (New Tampa Area). Dr. Castor is a native Floridian and is married with three children. He has an impressive list of academic and professional achievements. Dr. Stan Castor grew up in Zephyrhills, Florida and graduated from Zephyrhills High school at the top of his class in 1982. Dr. Castor spent some time working as an orderly and patient care assistant after high school and became interested in Medicine. He worked his way through college playing church music jobs. Dr. Castor attended Florida Southern College and graduated cum laude with a B.S. degree in Biology. Dr. Castor then studied medicine at the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed a 5-year internship and residency in General Surgery at Emory University Hospitals in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Castor continued his training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for 2 years at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH. In addition, he completed a prestigious cosmetic surgery fellowship with world-renowned plastic surgeons, Drs. Baker and Stuzin and Baker in Miami, FL. This cosmetic surgery fellowship is only offered to 2 plastic surgeons per year. Dr. Castor (of Tampa, Fl) is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. This organization is the only plastic surgery board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Tampa Bay Society of Plastic Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a repeat recipient of the Patients Choice Award in recognition of the difference he has made in the lives of his patients. Dr. Castor began his practice at the Watson Clinic in Lakeland, Florida. This is a large multi-speciality clinic with over 200 doctors on staff. Dr. Castor has served as the Chief of Plastic Surgery at Lakeland Regional Medical Center and the head of Plastic Surgery at the Watson Clinic. In 2007, he started his own practice of plastic surgery in order to spend more time with his family and patients. Dr. Castor is on the medical staff of Tampa General Hospital.
