About Soumo Banerji, MD
As a native Texan, Dr. Soumo Banerji has been studying, training and practicing medicine in this great state throughout his life and career. Valedictorian of Ball High School Class of 1999, he later went on to graduate from Rice University with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology in 2003 followed by a Medical Doctorate degree from Baylor College of Medicine in 2007. After a surgical internship at Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Banerji completed 5 years of General Surgery training at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso Texas before returning to Houston to finish a residency in Plastic Surgery at Houston Methodist Hospital in 2016. Since that time Dr. Banerji has been practicing Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the South Houston area offering a wide range of safe and modern surgical and nonsurgical techniques to help patients achieve their goals. As a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Banerji has performed hundreds of cosmetic surgeries, including but not limited to breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, abdominoplasty, face lift, liposuction, excess skin removal after weight loss, and Brazilian butt lift. He is also experienced in many nonsurgical methods for facial rejuvenation including Botox injection therapy, dermal fillers, microneedling, and chemical peels. Aside from practicing cosmetic surgery, Dr. Banerji has also performed numerous types of reconstructive surgeries, helping patients restore function and appearance after breast, skin, or pelvic cancer, as well as after complex trauma to the face, body, or extremities. Personal Pursuits Outside of owning and operating Banerji Plastic Surgery, Dr. Banerji enjoys spending time with his wife, Audra, and their 3 children. He is involved with his church and occasionally finds time to golf/shoot guns with the in-laws, play video games with his kids, and socialize with friends/neighbors in his community. Dr. and Mrs. Banerji believe in the importance of mental health and helping others live a more fulfilling life. They donate to their church home as well as a renowned counseling center in Pearland, Texas. Dr. Banerji has also been a regular volunteer with his local high school to encourage and mentor students interested in medical careers.
