About Sofia Fontecilla, DDS
Owning a family oriented dental practice in her very own neighborhood has always been a goal of Dr. Fontecilla. Now that Coconut Grove Dental is open, Dr. Fontecilla is realizing her dream of providing an exceptional level of dental care to members of her community. As a dentist who is committed to open communication and patient education, Dr. Fontecilla is always respectful of her patient’s comfort and concerns. She develops trustworthy and loyal relationships with all of her patients by carefully explaining their dental treatment options and helping them make the best possible decisions about their oral health. I thrive on the fact that my patients know I truly care about them, and that they can trust me with their oral health. Dr. Fontecilla is a Miami native who received her undergraduate degree from Boston College. Following college, she graduated from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco with her Doctoral Degree in Dental Surgery (DDS). After she returned to Miami, she worked in a private dental practice. Today, as the head dentist at Coconut Grove Dental, Dr. Fontecilla looks forward to helping each of her patients achieve their oral health goals.
