About Siegrid S. Yu, MD
Dr. Siegrid Yu is a dermatologic surgeon who specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery (a precise technique for removing skin cancer while sparing healthy tissue) and surgical reconstruction for skin cancer. She also has expertise in laser surgery; rejuvenation of aging skin, including use of Botox injections and soft tissue fillers, and treatments for visible leg veins; and cosmetic treatment of Asian skin. In her research, Yu investigates Merkel cell carcinoma and other skin cancers as well as skin cancer in immunosuppressed patients. Her research honors include the Clinical Career Development Award in Dermatologic Surgery from the Yu earned her medical degree at the University of Washington. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Stanford Medicine, where she served as chief resident. She completed a residency in dermatology at UCSF, where she also was chief resident, and a fellowship in Mohs surgery and procedural dermatology at UCSF.
