About Shauna R. Diggs, MD

Dr. Shauna Ryder Diggs is the respected and sought after founder of CosmedicDerm. Dr. Diggs is an American Board of Dermatology certified dermatologist, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Diggs is a leading dermatologist specializing in cosmetic and laser dermatology. A graduate of the University of Michigan’s distinguished Inteflex program, she completed an intensive and accelerated program of combined undergraduate and medical training in just seven years. Dr. Diggs also completed the University of Michigan Medical Center Internal Medicine internship and dermatology residency programs. A passionate scientist, she conducted extensive research on psoriasis and pluripotential cells and was published in the peer-reviewed, Journal of Investigative Dermatology. With more than fifteen years of experience under her belt, Dr. Diggs is an expert in dermatology laser therapy. She served as the first-ever medical director of the Detroit Medical Center Advanced Laser Treatment Center and has guest lectured at both the University of Michigan Dental and Medical Schools as well as for the Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University Medical School plastic surgery department and Advanced Laser Treatment Center.
