About Sharon Dechiara, MD
Dr. DeChiara graduated from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons as well as Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. She completed her Residency at the University of Pennsylvania, Division of Plastic Surgery, where she was Chief Resident. Dr. DeChiara completed additional Residencies at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in the divisions of Plastic Surgery, General Surgery and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. DeChiara is board certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Due to her extensive training, Dr. DeChiara has been asked to be both a lecturer and instructor at such prestigious locations as Sun Yat-Sen Medical Center in Guang-Zhou, China and Peking Union Medical Center in Beijing, China. She is also a member of the medical team performing cleft lip/palate surgery for “Healing The Children” in places such as San Salvador and Columbia, South Africa. Dr. DeChiara’s personal commitment to cosmetic surgery and the complete wellness of the patient can best be demonstrated by her professional activities and her hands on, holistic approach to her patients.
