About Shaneka Moss, DDS

Dr. Shaneka Moss is a graduate of Baylor College of Dentistry and has been in dentistry for over ten years. After founding Lavender Dental and searching for ways to better serve patients, her passion for health and wellness ignited an interest in biological dentistry. Dr. Moss has a compassionate, conservative and integrative approach to dental care. In addition to the art and the science of dentistry, ozone therapy, safe mercury removal and nutritional supplements are just a few additional modalities that she has incorporated into her practice. Patient education is paramount to success in both resolving and preventing oral health conditions. Oral health also has a huge impact on overall wellness. Optimal health starts with the mouth and Dr. Moss has dedicated her career to helping her patients achieve that goal. ​ Saving natural teeth is extremely important to ideal function. Dr. Moss utilizes a team approach, coordinating the execution of complex dental treatment plans in close communication with dental specialists (endodontists, periodontics, etc) and her patient's medical physicians as needed. She is particularly skilled in helping fearful patients relax during their dental care and is certified to provide sedation for these patients, when necessary. As a strong believer in keeping her knowledge and skills current, Dr. Moss has completed numerous continuing education courses and has expanded her knowledge of principles of general dentistry with a holistic emphasis. She is a member of the International Academy of Biological Dentistry & Medicine (IABDM), the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT), Holistic Dental Assocaition (HDA), American Dental Association (ADA), Texas Dental Association (TDA) and the Dallas County Dental Society. She is also SMART certified.
