About Shane E. Matt, DDS

As a highly accomplished doctor of dental surgery with more than sixteen years of experience, Dr. Shane Matt thrives on providing his clients with comfortable, comprehensive dental care with the latest treatments and most effective technology in reconstructive and aesthetic dentistry. Austin, Texas has been Dr. Matt’s home since 1999 and he opened Authentic Smiles Dental Studio in the 2nd street district downtown, in 2008. Continuing the family tradition with three generations in dentistry, Dr. Matt is a leading area provider of neuromuscular, cosmetic and general dentistry, offering same-day crowns and veneers, jaw tracking and EMG Analysis and treatment for patients suffering from sleep apnea. Continuing education, experience and his involvement with numerous foundations and associations keep Dr. Matt ahead of the curve in all aspects of dentistry. He is a member of the International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics (IACA), the American Dental Association (ADA) and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. He has received his neuromuscular dentistry training from the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies Continuum (LVI), the leading postgraduate program in neuromuscular dentistry. He is a volunteer for the Capital Area Dental Foundation and a leader in fundraising for Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM). Dr. Matt’s credentials and training include a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Louisiana State University Health Science Center School of Dentistry and a Bachelor of Science from University of Louisiana-Lafayette. Today, Dr. Matt continues to lead one of the most progressive comprehensive dental practice in downtown Austin, and relentlessly pursues the best options for providing his patients with authentic, award-winning smiles.
