About Shanar Nasserifar, DDS

In her role as the associate dentist at Advance Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Shanar Nasserifar derives great professional fulfillment from her ability to educate patients about oral health best practices and empower them with the knowledge they need to maintain lifelong healthy smiles. In addition to providing all standard general dentistry services, Dr. Nasserifar also performs implant dentistry procedures and prosthodontic treatments. She practices part time at Advance Family & Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Nasserifar began her undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto, where she majored in zoology and human biology. She completed her Bachelor’s in biology at York University in Toronto and graduated with honors in 2007. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Nasserifar relocated to the United States to pursue her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Maryland. After finishing dental school, Dr. Nasserifar moved out west to fulfill her general practice residency requisites at the University of Nevada Dental School in Las Vegas. When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Nasserifar maintains an active and healthy lifestyle by regularly engaging in physical recreation activities like running, playing tennis, and snowboarding. Besides playing sports, her personal pastimes include traveling, learning about other cultures, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Nasserifar is a firm believer in following the “golden rule,” in all areas of her life and always strives to treat others in the same manner she herself would want to be treated.
