About Shaena H. Choi, MD
Dr. Shaena Choi is a board-certified Eye Surgeon specializing in state of the art cataract surgery including multifocal and toric lens options since 1999. Her expertise also includes LASIK/PRK, oculoplastic surgery, medical glaucoma, medical retina, and pediatrics. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas in Austin and then completed her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. After completing her internal medicine internship at New England Medical Center in Boston, Mass, she completed her residency training at the University of Rochester – Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Texas Medical Association, Harris County Medical Society and the Houston Ophthalmologic Society. Dr. Choi and her husband have two sons. She enjoys running and traveling. She is also an accomplished pianist and is aspiring to learn the guitar.
