About Sergio Alvarez
My name is Sergio Alvarez, and I am pleased to say that I love what I do. I chose the field of plastic surgery for its diversity and its ability to change a person’s life. I am a perfectionist at heart and bring that to every challenge I encounter. I come from a medical family and it was at the age of 10, after seeing my first surgery that I decided to become a surgeon. After attending the University of Texas at Austin for my undergraduate degree, I went to UT Southwestern Medical School. After graduating at the top of my class, I was chosen to attend my top ranked residency program at the University of South Florida for Plastic Surgery. From the beginning of my training, I took the initiative to concentrate my efforts on the field of aesthetic surgery. I traveled to Europe to spend time learning the art of facial fillers. I visited surgeons from Latin America to learn different and innovative techniques.
