About Sara G. Sugishita, DMD

My name is Dr. Sara Go Sugishita, known as Dr. Go by my patients. I was born and raised in Long Island, New York, and received my Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Anthropology from New York University in 2001. After college, I worked for a year as a dental assistant for my family dentist and fell in love with dentistry for its incorporation of both art and science. I then attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston to receive my D.M.D. degree in 2006. Right after, I worked as an associate for two years in Boston at one of my dental instructors’ private practices. During that time, I met my soon to be husband who is from San Jose, and I made the decision to move out to California in 2009. In Campbell, CA, I had the great fortune of meeting Dr. James Carter, who was retiring from his dental practice. I took over his partnership at Hughes Dental Group, where I had the greatest pleasure of caring for an amazing set of patients. It has been the best time meeting newly married couples, seeing their families expand, seeing kids grow and graduate and get jobs of their own, meeting the elderly of Campbell and San Jose who are so knowledgeable about the area’s history, and the new young people who have come from out of state to achieve jobs in the high tech industry. After eight and a half years, I decided to move my location independently and form my current practice, Orchard City Dental Care.
