About Samuel H. Lievano, DDS
Dr. Lievano was born in Colombia, South America and was raised spending time both in Colombia and the US (Pennsylvania). Growing up in a bilingual and bicultural household is one of the things he is most thankful for. Dr. Lievano graduated from the Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia in 1986 and continued his post-graduate studies in Occlusion and Restorative Dentistry at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. During this time in Washington, he knew it was going to be his new home. He began the Private Practice of Dentistry in 1989 and over the last 26 years has helped create winning smiles for thousands of patients in the Metropolitan area. He believes the best results in dentistry come from a collaborative effort between the Dentist, his staff and the patient. Together, achieving and maintaining Optimal Oral Health can be a very simple and even enjoyable process. Through continuing education, he maintains current with the latest trends in technology and dental procedures, ensuring all patients receive optimal care. Going to the dentist can actually be a pleasant and positive experience. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the DC Dental Society, the American Academy of Facial Esthetics among others. He supports numerous Education and HealthCare Non-Profit Organizations locally and Nationally such as Mary’s Center for Maternal and Child Care, The Latino Student Fund and St. Jude’s Hospital to name a few. Dr. Lievano graduated from the Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia and Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
