About Sam M. Sukkar, MD
Dr. Sam M. Sukkar is a Houston and Clear Lake board-certified plastic surgeon known for delivering the most innovative cosmetic care. After graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in microbiology, he achieved his medical degree at Louisiana State University School of Medicine. From there, Dr. Sukkar underwent complete training in general surgery at the renowned University of Texas Hermann Hospital, before completing his plastic surgery fellowship—fellowships are awarded to typically less than 50 doctors nationally within a specialty annually—at the highly-competitive Northwestern University in Chicago – one of the country’s most elite training institutions. A firm believer in the importance of continuing medical education, Dr. Sukkar regularly attends plastic surgery meetings in the U.S. and abroad to stay at the cutting-edge of his field. He’s a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and a member of both the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the Houston Society of Plastic Surgery (HSPS). Throughout his training and career, in addition to having completed over 5,000 plastic surgery procedures and growing one of the largest surgery centers and med spas in the Houston and surrounding areas, he has published on a broad range of plastic surgery topics, both aesthetic and reconstructive, and was named one of Houston’s “Top Docs for Women” by Houston Magazine. In addition to his extensive training and impressive credentials, Dr. Sukkar is known throughout Texas as a calming and compassionate surgeon who consistently puts his patients first. Prior to each procedure, he devotes a great deal of time to answering questions, addressing any concerns and ensuring the patient feels entirely at ease before moving forward. Because of this rare dedication to his clients, he’s become the “go-to” surgeon for discerning individuals throughout Houston, who exclusively trust Dr. Sukkar for their cosmetic care. Dr. Sukkar has lived in Houston since 1996. His wife, Laura, and 3 children along with his team of over 15 trained professionals support his practice fully. Dr. Sukkar is an active member of his community, participating in numerous charitable events and other occasions. Additionally, he lends his expertise and sponsorship to help those less fortunate. In his free time, you can find him enjoying spending time on the beach in his family’s summer getaway in Galveston.
