About Sahil Sethi, DMD
Sahil Sethi, DMD, a partner in Sutter Terrace Dental Group, practices dentistry with a specific focus on comprehensive, conservative, esthetic and patient centered dental care. He believes that a “partnership” must exist between the dentist and the patient for the ultimate success of any treatment plan. By observation, education, dental photography and digital images he encourages his patients to become active decision makers in their treatment alternatives. The co-discovery of signs and symptoms, by the dentist and patient, allows his patients to understand their treatment needs and visualize their “ideal smile” free from pain, dysfunction, disfigurement and disease. Using these principles Dr. Sethi combines the sciences of prosthodontics, implantology, occlusal therapy and aesthetic dentistry to create for his patients a smile that is comfortable, functional, healthy and esthetically pleasing. Dr. Sethi’s commitment to excellence requires staying on the cutting edge of dentistry. Dr. Sethi achieves this level of clinical excellence through his involvement with three of the most respected institutions for advanced dental education in the United States today: The Kois Center for Advancing Dentistry through Science The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education The Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education In addition, Dr. Sethi completes numerous continuing education courses with some of the leading scholars of modern dental medicine in order to provide his patients with quality, pain-free dentistry. Dr. Sethi is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Sacramento District Dental Society. He is also an active member of the “LIGA -Flying Doctors of Mercy”, a volunteer organization through which medical professionals fly to underprivileged areas of the Sinaloa peninsula of Mexico to provide medical care to rural communities. Dr. Sethi is a participating member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and is also a regular participant in the “Giving Smiles” Children’s Dental program providing free dental care to underserved children in our community. Dr. Sethi completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology and graduated with honors from Loyola University of New Orleans in 1999. Subsequently, he chose to attend the prestigious Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2004. Dr. Sethi, and his family, make their home in El Dorado Hills. They enjoy an active lifestyle of running, biking, motorcycling, skiing and hiking.
