About Ryan K. Couvillion, MD
Dr. Ryan Couvillion is an experienced Houston, TX plastic surgeon specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive procedures for the breasts, body, face, and skin. A native Houstonian, Dr. Couvillion has been recognized for his passion and dedication in achieving the best possible results for his patients and is proud to return to Houston and build his practice in his hometown. His drive to pursue training in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery began at a young age, and he is honored to have been mentored by some of the nation’s most recognized surgeons. Whether a congenital condition, cancer reconstruction, or a personal aesthetic need, Dr. Couvillion incorporates a patient-centered approach with everyone he encounters and makes each client a part of the decision-making process. While initially pursuing an interest in cell and molecular biology at Tulane University, Dr. Couvillion earned first a Bachelor of Science degree, and then a Master of Science degree. He next chose to continue his education in the New Orleans area by attending medical school at Louisiana State University. During this time, he joined the medical honors society, Alpha Omega Alpha, in his final year. Following this achievement, he went on to complete a residency at Tulane University Medical School, which is one of the oldest general surgery training programs in the country. After honing his surgical abilities and gaining recognition by the department for his overall excellence and teaching ability, he relocated to Houston to begin a three-year plastic surgery fellowship at Houston Methodist. It was during these final years of training that he mastered advanced techniques from some of the nation’s most distinguished aesthetic and reconstructive surgeons. Known for consistently delivering masterful results, Dr. Couvillion is skilled at performing a variety of procedures, including breast augmentation, breast lift, and breast reconstruction surgery. He also offers facelift surgery and other facial rejuvenation procedures, such as neck lift, brow lift, and blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery).
