About Robin G. Oshman, MD

Dr. Robin Gail Oshman is a board certified dermatologist practicing medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology in Westport and New Canaan Connecticut for the last 28 years. Dr. Oshman received her Ph.D. in Microbiology from the Biomedical Sciences Program of the City University of New York. She received her M.D. degree from the Brown University Program in Medicine (now the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University) in Rhode Island. The doctor completed her residency trainig program in Dermatology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. In addition to her solo private practice in Westport and New Canaan, the doctor is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Yale New Haven Hospital where she teaches the Yale University School of Medicine Dermatology Residents. Dr. Oshman has been recognized as an astute clinician by her colleagues in the medical community. She has been included in the ""Guide to Top Doctors"", Castle and Connolly's ""How to Find the Best Doctors"" annually since 2008, The Best Doctors in America data base and the Strathmore ""Who's Who Worldwide"". Dr. Oshman has given lectures on various skin topics at Norwalk Hospital, the Westport and New Canaan Libraries and the Westport and Wilton High Schools. She has appeared on News 12 Connecticut, 12 on Health, The Exchange, Connecticut Channel 30 and various radio stations discussing a variety of dermatology topics. Dr. Oshman has also conducted clinical trials relating to acne, melasma and children with eczema. Dr. Oshman is currently the Chairman of the Board of the Fairfield County Medical Association and President of the Woman's Medical Association of Fairfield County. She is the President and founder of the Fairfield County Medical Association Foundation. She is also the founder of the Connecticut State Medical Society's Women's Physician Section. Dr.Oshman founded the skin cancer screening held annually at the Westport-Weston District Health Center. She has and continues to serve as program director of this American Academy of Dermatology Skin Cancer Screening Program at the Westport-Weston District Health Center for the past 28 years. The doctor has received community service awards from the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Medical Women's Association, the Entrepreneurial Women's Network and Hadassah. The City University of New York awarded her the Ph.D. Alumni Achievement Award. The American Academy of Dermatology awarded Dr. Oshman the Presidential Citation Award. The Fairfield County Medical Association awarded Dr. Oshman their Physician Extraordinaire Prasad Srinivasan award for dedication to medical advocacy.
