About Robert S. Tausend, MD
Robert Tausend, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist and founder Bayshore Dermatology in 1984. He grew up in Pasadena, Texas. His father, Paul Tausend, was one of the original founders of the Bayshore Medical Center. He attended the University of Texas-Austin and earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio in 1979. He completed his internship at the University of Texas Medical Branch-Galveston in 1980 and dermatology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston in 1983. Dr. Tausend is a fellow of The American Academy of Dermatology and an active member of the Houston Dermatological Society, Harris County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, and Texas Dermatological Society. Dr. Tausend is an avid Houston Astros and Texas Longhorn fan, enjoys traveling, and spending time with his wife, grandchildren, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
