About Robert J. Shiffman, DDS
After graduating from the University of Illinois at Chicago with honors, Dr. Shiffman entered dental school, at the same university. There he honed his skills as a diagnostician, with a talent for restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Practicing in the Buffalo Grove area since 1980, Dr. Shiffman has become recognized as a fixture within the community, and as a leader in his field. He has also developed an expertise in dental sleep medicine (sleep apnea and snoring), which has been the focus of his continuing education efforts. Dr. Shiffman maintains a unique and personal approach to dentistry that is so rare in today’s hurly-burly world. He acknowledges that each patient is different, and has different concerns, so he takes the time necessary for each appointment. His patients describe him as incredibly friendly, methodical and efficient. During his free time, Dr. Shiffman is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with his family.
