About Robert M. Lowen
Dr. Robert M. Lowen. He established his solo practice in 1988, and specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. A leading plastic surgeon, Dr. Lowen is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Lowen holds staff privileges at El Camino Hospital and several area surgery centers.A graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School in 1971, Dr. Lowen completed a surgical internship at California-Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco and for the next eleven years was a busy emergency physician and board-certified family practitioner at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View. During this period, Dr. Lowen had the opportunity to travel extensively around the world and did volunteer medical work with the Tibetan refugee community in Dharmsala, India.
