About Robert Baima, DDS
Dr. Baima is a 1975 graduate of Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, WI, where he received his DDS. After two years in private general practice, Dr. Baima earned an advanced degree in Periodontics from the Specialty Residency of Periodontology Program at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. He subsequently completed advanced training in Prosthodontics, Dental Implantology and Maxillofacial Prosthetics/Head and Neck Cancer Treatment at the UCLA Medical Center and Veterans Administration Medical Center in West Los Angeles, CA. In addition to a lifelong career in private practice, Dr. Baima spent more than 25 years contributing to the academic world of dentistry. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and the American Board of Prosthodontics. He has presented nearly 200 formal academic lectures at local, state, national and international dental conventions and seminars, and has published peer-reviewed articles in the Journal of Prosthodontics Dentistry, Journal of Prosthodontics, Michigan Dental Association Journal and Implant Dentistry. He has written several chapters in the textbook Contemporary Fixed Prosthodontics published by C.V. Mosby Company. He is served as the Director of Implant Dentistry for the General Practice Dental Residency Program at Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Baima has held academic appointments at the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University; Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, WI; UCLA School of Dentistry in Los Angeles, CA; University Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey; New Jersey Dental School; Loyola University School of Dentistry in Maywood, IL; Veterans Administration Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA; and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in Detroit, MI. Dr. Baima is an active member of several national and international organizations including the AAP, MSP, ACP ICP, AAMP and ISMR. Dr. Baima and his family enjoy traveling and gastronomy.
