About Rita V. Lanphier, DDS
I grew up on Kauai. I come from a big family- 5 brothers and 2 sisters-they are the best gift my parents ever gave to me. I attended SCU and began a career at Oracle Corp. It did not suit me and at the age of 28 I embarked on a new adventure – Dentistry at Creighton University. Crushed to have to leave San Francisco I managed to somehow get through the winters and survive Omaha. In the end I still find myself having to return to the great Midwestern town for it was there as luck had it that I met my husker husband! I have practiced in Omaha, Portland Oregon and currently (thank the Lord!) here in California… closer to Kauai for visits and when duty and in-laws call, well… we are in just the right proximity to Nebraska too. I am so lucky to be in a place where I really love life- incredible lovely patients, an amazing staff, two little guys at home (Larkin age 9 and Melvin age 7) and my husband who holds down the fort so I can do what I love and give what I need here at the office. I plan to work hard to continue it all but count my lucky stars for today , the present. Favorite things to do…BBQ’s with family and friends, running the local trails at sunrise or sunset, trying new restaurants and dream about travelling the world.
