About Rafik Riad, DDS

Born and raised in Cairo, Egypt, Dr. Rafik Riad earned his first Doctorate degree from the prestigious Ain Shams University in Cairo in 2005. After graduation with honors, he practiced the art of dentistry in his hometown for several years and developed a strong passion for general and cosmetic dentistry. As an eager learner and a firm believer in never-ending professional and personal development, in 2008, Dr. Riad became a co-founder of a continuous education institute for dentists, aiming to bring a global knowledge and a cutting edge technology in dentistry to doctors in Egypt and Europe. At the end of 2009, Dr. Riad immigrated to USA with his family and was honored to become a part of one of the top dental schools in the country, Loma Linda University in Southern California, where he earned his second Doctorate degree in General Dentistry in 2014. Upon graduation, Dr. Riad continued what he loves the most – care for his patients and improve their smiles and lives. He served his patients as an Associate at several private practices in Southern California until he discovered Oak Tree Dental in June of 2017. Dr. Riad has an extensive knowledge and training in all aspects of general dentistry, as well as treating patients for root canals, extractions, dental surgery, and implants. He takes pride in his work and is known for the quality and safety of his procedures, caring personality, and comforting chair-side manners. Besides being committed to his patients, Dr. Riad is dedicated to expanding his knowledge in modern dentistry to provide the highest quality dental care to his patients. His dedication to perfection and passion for dentistry drives him daily to change his patients’ lives by crafting their beautiful and healthy smiles. Dr. Riad is a member of the San Diego Dental Society, the American Dental Associations and the California Dental Association. In his free time, Dr. Riad enjoys various outdoor activities with his wife Elena, family, and friends.
