About Paul Striker

Dr. Paul S. Striker is a native of Denver, Colorado and a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. He was trained in general surgery and plastic surgery at Presbyterian Hospital in the City of New York and the College of Physicians and Surgeons, and is an honors graduate of Harvard College and The University of Colorado School of Medicine where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Striker served with the Third Infantry Division Artillery as a medical officer and battalion commander in Germany prior to starting in private practice. A highly experienced office based practitioner, Dr. Striker is Senior Attending Plastic Surgeon at the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary and the Center For Specialty Care on the upper east side of Manhattan. Known as a laser incisional expert, he was the first to perform cosmetic laser-assisted eyelid plasty at the Eye & Ear Infirmary, and also introduced facial laser resurfacing to that institution. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the International Microform Journal of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and translated and published from German the first surgical attempts to remove fat through small incisions, the precursor to traditional liposuction which Dr. Striker helped pioneer in the early 80's. Dr. Striker is a Diplomat of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and holds membership in multiple prestigious national and international surgical societies. His published articles appear in the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, The Year Book of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, The Mosby Symposium on Management of Cleft Lip and Palate, and the Transactions of the International Congress of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In addition to interviews for magazines including Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Town and Country, Woman's Day and Newsweek, Dr. Striker has appeared as an invited guest on CNN Live, USA Today, Donahue, and Geraldo, and has been on national television as a breast implant spokesperson for the American Society of Plastic Surgery.
