About Paul Fondacaro, MD
Dr. Paul Fondacaro received his MD degree from New York University School of Medicine in 1981. He completed his internship and residency in Surgery in 1985-1986 at SUNY Downstate including chief resident 1985-1988. After a short stint as Attending Surgeon at Long Island College Hospital, he was recruited to Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan where he served as Assistant Director of Surgery. He held faculty positions as Assistant Professor of Surgery at New York Medical College and afterwards as Assistant Professor of Surgery at Cornell Medical College. He was mentioned as top surgeon in NY Magazine, Castle Connolly, and Consumer Research Council of America. In 2003, Dr. Fondacaro began to add cosmetic services into his practice. A separate entity was established which included cosmetic services alone and separate from his own busy surgical practice. In 2007, he began to practice cosmetic surgery exclusively and expanded the practice to New Jersey where Dr. Park Ave was born. Dr. Fondacaro started offering smartlipo procedure immediately after FDA approval and became a preceptor and trainer for the Cynosure Laser Company. The practice was bestowed the title of “Center of Excellence” due to the training of many physicians. Today we offer a variety of cosmetic procedures in all three of our facilities.
