About Neva Fernandez, Aesthetician Specialist
My journey began in 1997 when I became licensed in massage therapy and opened my first studio in the King William District, south of downtown San Antonio. My love for anatomy continued with additional education in many different modalities to treat cancer patients, chronic pain, stress and prenatal massage in a relaxing setting - eventually landing me a nine year contract with Baptist Health Systems offering the first postpartum program of this kind within a hospital setting . This specialized prenatal service ultimately bore my trademarked service called MOMease™ - safe and effective spa services for pregnant/lactating women. With MD Anderson being a highlight of my learning experience - education became the key to my success in this industry. My continued education soon lead me to a teaching position at St. Philips College for the Massage Therapy Program for two years. During these growth and educational years, my love for the anatomy grew further and my interest in skincare became a new passion as a licensed esthetician. The product line I began and continue to use is PCA Skin, a leader in the skincare industry that effectively treats acne, sun damage, sensitive, aging skin and of course, several effective and safe treatments for my pregnant/lactating women. Soon after becoming licensed, I became an educator for PCA Skin in the San Antonio and Austin area. In 2009, NEVA FACE & BODY was born and our first door opened in the heart of Midtown, walking distance from the Historic Pearl area. Our doors are open to every skin and body type and with our continued specialty in the MOMease™ spa services. As you can see from the menu of services, skincare is my passion and with over 26 different facial treatments, we continue to be the expert in skincare treatments - setting NEVA SPA apart from your typical spas by offering clinical and results oriented treatments without skimping on the pampering and upscale atmosphere. We continue to be recognized with accolades, both locally (readers and editors picks) and nationally from Spa Week, Spa Finder, LUXE and Expertise.com. I continue to find great joy in seeing guests leave my spa healthier and with a better understanding about a lifestyle of wellness.
