About Mychael Luu, MD
Dr. Mychael Luu narrowly escaped from Vietnam at the age of 10 with his family 3 days prior to the fall of Vietnam on April 30, 1975. The family was airlifted out by the American army among hundreds of thousands of people desperately trying to escape the communist regime. After arriving in America, his family stayed a few years in Canada prior to coming to the United States. His father was a well-respected physician in Vietnam and the family was well-off, but everything was lost during the escape except the clothes that they were and a few bags that they were allowed to carry. Looking back, it was probably one of the most important turning points in his life.
