Dr. Mrudangi S. Thakur is a board-certified plastic surgeon, an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the sole practitioner at Mrudangi Thakur Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery PC in Jefferson Valley, New York, and Middletown, New York. Mrudangi Thakur graduated from the University of Gujarat, India achieving the highest grades in the University. Mrudangi was given the President's Medal, Pfizer Gold Medallion, and twelve other medals for the highest grades in final MBBS all over India. Dr. Thakur then went to The United Kingdom and studied Microsurgery Head and advanced Neck Course. She then came to the States and began her career at Montefiore Medical Center, NY, with a fellowship in the Burn Unit, followed by her General surgery residency at Montefiore. The doctor finished her Plastic Residency in June 2001. Dr. Thakur was an Assistant Professor in Surgery in Jamaica Hospital and an Assistant Professor in Surgery at Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn NY. She is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery since October 2003 and maintains her Certification. Dr. Thakur currently has her own private practice in Westchester, NY.
