About Monee Thomas, MD
Dr. Monee Thomas specializes in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Thomas cares for both pediatric (age 8 and up) and adult patients of all skin types & ethnic backgrounds. She treats patients for a variety of skin conditions that includes: acne, rashes, skin cancer, mole evaluations, rosacea, psoriasis, warts, and many other conditions effecting the hair and nails. She takes a special interest in hair loss and skin of color. She’s passionate about dermatology because the specialty allows her to help patients become more comfortable and confident in their own skin. During Dr. Thomas’ training, she contributed to several presentations on the subject of skin conditions such as morphea, chilblain lupus and skin cancer specific to African-Americans. She served as president of Howard University’s Student Dermatology Society, and as chief resident in her final year of residency. Dr. Thomas also enjoys supporting the local community through outreach and volunteer services, and sharing her knowledge on the importance of sun protection and early detection for skin cancer. In addition to her passion for medical dermatology, Dr. Thomas is experienced in cosmetic procedures such as Botox and Dysport, dermal fillers such as Juvederm and Restylane, and PRP for hair restoration.
