About Mitchell Blum, MD
Mitchell E. Blum M.D., F.A.C.S. is an elite California ENT and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. He is one of the most experienced northern California plastic surgeons, double Board certified in both Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery – and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Blum treats all ear, nose, and throat diseases and has an intimate understanding of both the functional and aesthetic basis of cosmetic surgery. Dr. Mitchell Blum received his Undergraduate Degree from Franklin and Marshall College, in Pennsylvania. He went on to receive his medical degree from Hahnemann University and surgical residency at Allentown Hospital, both in Pennsylvania. Dr. Blum then moved to Washington Hospital Center, in Washington D.C., to complete his additional residency training in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. As an officer of the United States Air Force, Dr. Mitchell Blum was appointed as Chief of Otolaryngology at the U.S. Air Force Hospital, Mather Air Force Base, in California. In addition, Dr. Blum served as an Associate Clinical Professor at U.C. Davis Medical Center. The San Francisco Bay is Dr. Mitchell Blum’s home. At Blum Facial Surgery we stress the importance of giving back to our local community. Dr. Blum very active in community healthcare improvement (the San Juan School District Health Advisory Board) the Rotary Club, and his local Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Blum is also an advocate for domestic violence prevention. Blum Facial Surgery has donated time to FACE TO FACE: The National Domestic Violence Project. Working with this organization in the past, Dr. Blum was able to help a child severely affected by domestic violence. San Francisco Bay Area Plastic Surgeon Dr. Mitchell Blum is happily living in the East Bay with his wife, Gonul. He has five grown children and is a grandfather of three. As a former National Ski Patroller, Dr. Blum is still an avid skier. He loves to sail, play tennis, and is very passionate about the Sunday New York Times Crossword Puzzle.
