About Miguelangelo Gonzalez, MD

Dr. Miguelangelo Gonzalez MD., P.C. is a highly qualified plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He received his degree in Plastic and Reconstructive internationally renowned Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Institute of Jalisco in Guadalajara, Mexico. Dr. Gonzalez is a board certified plastic & reconstructive surgeon and an active member of Dr. Guerrerosantos Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Society of Mexico. Dr. Gonzalez is also a member of the Sonoran and Cabo Medical College of Surgeons and a member of the Education foundation of Residents and Ex-residents of the Reconstructive Surgery Institute of Jalisco. After medical school, Dr. Gonzalez completed one year of social services, one year of internship, three years of General Surgery and five years of Plastic & Reconstructive surgery residency. Dr. Gonzalez completed plastic surgery fellowships at the Maricopa County Medical Hospital in Arizona at the UCSD (University of California Medical Hospital in San Diego, California). Dr. Gonzalez graduated with an MD from the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes School of Medicine in 1983. Dr. Gonzalez remains current in the latest techniques in plastic and reconstructive surgery by regularly attending postdoctoral seminars, recently at the University of Siena, Italy, faculty of Medicine Plastic Surgery department. He has lectured on his own techniques in the USA, Europe, and Mexico Congresses and visited other plastic surgeons across the continent. Dr. Gonzalez is well known among colleagues for his innovative technologies and investigations, which he has presented at international conferences, and published in several plastic surgery journals. Some of these papers presented are his own techniques for torsoabdominoplasty, rhinoplasty & facelift body contouring with own specialized instruments for liposculpturing. For example, the new facelift procedure performed with P.A.D. and subsonic instruments reduce surgical time, swelling & bruising in his face & body beautification technique. Patients benefit from his knowledge of anti-aging medicine to achieve better and longer lasting results. Dr. Gonzalez is not only a well-trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon but also a creator of plastic surgery procedures. As the founder of the non-profit organization Nueva Cara (New face) Charity Program, Dr. Miguelangelo Gonzalez enjoys helping the community by offering free plastic and reconstructive surgery to children of lower income neighborhoods with congenital malformation, burns and severe scarring. Dr. Gonzalez’s charity work was the subject of a special half hour public affair report on a famous nationwide television station in the U.S. They followed Dr. Gonzalez to Cabo San Lucas where he brought children to perform free surgery. Dr. Gonzalez was interviewed on the local Phoenix news channel, a national TV channel, as well as being featured in the Arizona Daily Star and Cabo Mil FM Radio. Dr. Gonzalez organizes the Annual Cutting Edge Refinements in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery meeting each year inviting renowned Plastic Surgeons to Cabo San Lucas from all over the world.
