About Michelle L. Jeffries, DO

Dr. Jeffries is triple board certified in Dermatology, Pediatric Dermatology and Integrative Medicine. She is among the first osteopathic physicians to become board certified in Pediatric Dermatology by the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology. To further her understanding and interest in medicine, she continuously seeks out information on ways to comprehensively treat dermatologic conditions. This led her to the path of Integrative Dermatology, which is an individualized approach to skin health that blends new technology with ancient practices and incorporates prescription strength treatment with proven natural remedies. To learn more about Integrative dermatology, visit www.drmichellejeffries.com After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University, Dr. Jeffries received her MA in School Psychology and then her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Midwestern University-Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she was named Medical Student of the Year. She completed her pediatric internship at Phoenix Children’s Hospital (PCH) and a four-year combined dermatology residency and pediatric dermatology fellowship at Midwestern University’s Alta Dermatology Residency Program and PCH. Dr. Jeffries is very active in the field of dermatology on a national, state and local level. She is the Secretary/Treasurer for the Phoenix Dermatologic Society and has served as Executive Board member and Secretary/Treasurer for the Arizona Dermatology & Dermatologic Surgery Society. Dr. Jeffries speaks at numerous local and national dermatology meetings and has received several awards for her presentations. She has also published articles in peer-reviewed dermatology journals and was a contributing author for dermatology textbooks. Over the years, Dr. Jeffries has gained an interest in genetic skin disease, vascular malformations, eczema, acne and skin cancer in addition to her general dermatology knowledge. She takes an individualized approach to each patient and uses an integration of medical dermatology, dermatologic surgery and pediatric dermatology. In the summer of 2015, Dr. Jeffries joined the elite providers at East Valley Dermatology Center and continues to provide excellent patient care. Dr. Jeffries is originally from Milwaukee, WI. She also spent much of her childhood in Sedona, Arizona and has lived in the Phoenix area since 1991.
