About Michelle Bonner, Tattoo Specialist
Michelle Bonner is a SoulCal girl through and through. Having been born and raised in San Bernardino County, and having worked throughout Orange County, the Inland Empire, and Los Angeles, Michelle has a extensive familiarity with Southern California. Her love of beauty stems from her childhood when she would take part in ballet and contemporary dance competitions. Michelle liked dancing, but LOVED the competition makeup that came with it. As a child, Michelle wasn’t allowed to wear makeup except for these events, and so this occasional pleasure sparked a beauty bug in her which has been there ever since. After graduating high school, Michelle got her first job which provided her with the funds to explore what her local makeup counters had to offer. This only added fuel to Michelle’s beauty fire. Her passion for the industry grew and grew as she began to look into how she could become more informed and educated in all things beauty. Michelle’s first step was to train under Donna Mee, herself a beautician of 30+ years, at the Empire Academy of Makeup. Michelle’s talent did not go unnoticed, as she was accepted to apprentice at the school before then becoming an instructor, working alongside Mee and other influential industry leaders. Fast forward 10 years and Michelle has worked for the likes of MAC, Chanel, and Dior in a variety of roles. On recommendations from tutors at the Empire Academy, she sought out counter manager positions in order to gain the best practice in makeup application. Over the next few years, Michelle worked in this role for both Dior and Chanel, allowing her to gain hands-on experience with a range of loyal clients on a daily basis. It was around this time that Michelle’s personal mantra became apparent; she says: With MAC, Bonner worked as a regional manager, holding responsibility for multiple locations across Southern California, each exceeding $1m in value. Since leaving MAC and going solo, Michelle’s repertoire has grown and grown and now includes experience in the world of permanent makeup. She offers the latest and most natural-looking microblading techniques in her own Ontario studio. Her portfolio also boasts makeup artistry for wedding and engagement photoshoots, family portraits, and professional headshots. If that wasn’t enough, Michelle has worked with stars from some of the biggest events in the country. Bodybuilding competitions, LA Fashion Week, Miss Teen USA Pageant, and the VH1 awards show are just some of the national events and competitions Michelle has glammed up clients for.
