After several years spent learning from some great people and helping other beauty services achieve success, it’s such a dream come true to now be operating my own! I offer Special Event makeup applications/makeovers, facials, body waxing, eye brow arch design and “brow rehab” along with individual eyelash extensions 2d – 8d types and styles and curls. I get to hand-pick my partners and products, and leverage all I’ve learned to create a customer-driven, complete beauty experience at Visions of Venus. It’s truly a salon that I would want to be a client of!Since becoming a licensed Esthetician, I’ve had the advantage of working in many areas and environments. I started at an acne skin care clinic, creating custom regimes for each client, using wrinkle ironing, lymphatic drainage, back facials, microdermabrasion, peels, glycolic, waxing, and more. Next, I worked with a beauty bar. Besides the more high-end facials, body and face waxing, and make up applications, I got more exposure to the day-to-day business side of things, like reception, booking and marketing. I then accepted a position as Lead Esthetician at one of the leading beauty brow bar franchises of the West Coast, owned by Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy. Handling all clientele at one of the limited brow bars located in Macy’s confirmed by expertise in providing services such as full makeup application, the BENEFIT lash application, along with full face waxing. I also polished my skills as an expert brow arch designer. I moved on to gain full top-to-bottom business experience at a makeup and beauty products chain. I still performed beauty services, but also served as everything from cashier, stockroom monitor, and even opened and closed the store. This rounded out my A to Z education! While waiting for a solid opportunity to open Visions of Venus, I worked as a freelance make up artist and Esthetician for Anastasia Beverly Hills, Smashbox Cosmetics, Sephora, Amazing Lash Studio, Nordstrom, ULTA’s, and others, at locations all across the Bay Area.It’s been my privilege to assist non-profits helping homeless women get “interview-ready”, donating makeovers and skin care tips to help them feel confident and ready to do their best. I’m not necessarily the delicate type, either. For 4 years I was a skater for the Silicon Valley Roller Girls roller derby team, and yes, I’ve got the scars to prove it. I still love to SK8-8 you can catch me out at San Jose skate night! And like for many of you I’m sure, my wonderful family is really what it’s all about!.
