About Michael Ungerleider, DMD
"For more than 25 years, Dr. Ungerleider has been providing quality dental and orthodontic care for his patients in Granby and the surrounding communities. He is dedicated to helping people achieve healthy, beautiful, and natural-looking smiles by providing customized treatments designed for comfort and efficiency. Dr. Ungerleider enjoys helping patients of all ages and looks forward to being a part of your complete dental experience. Dr. Ungerleider received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania, and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Ungerleider served a one-year general practice residency at the VA Medical Center in Manchester, NH. In 1990, Dr. Ungerleider joined with Dr. Richard Martindale, and in 1994 he created The Granby Dental Center, where he has been providing preventive, restorative, and implant and cosmetic dental care ever since. Dr. Ungerleider completed his certificate in orthodontics from both the United States Dental Institute and the International Association for Orthodontics. His greatest goal is to help all his patients maintain their smiles for a lifetime. In addition to providing traditional braces, he is excited to offer teens and adults a new way to straighten their smiles with lnvisalign® invisible braces. He is an lnvisalign Elite Provider. Dr. Ungerleider believes that given the advances in dental techniques, there is no reason most people should not be able to keep their natural teeth for a lifetime. His goal is to work with you to achieve maximum health and aesthetics for your smile. He believes that a healthy mouth is essential to overall body health and longevity. In order to stay up to date with the latest dental treatments and techniques, so you can receive the most advanced care possible, Dr. Ungerleider regularly participates in continuing education courses, and studies implants, aesthetics, sleep apnea, laser therapy, and early childhood development. He averages more than 275 CE hours per year. Dr. Ungerleider obtained his Master level in the Academy of General Dentistry, a distinction that only 1% of AGD dentists attain. He is also a certified Lumineers provider and certified to use advanced CEREC® digital imaging technology, to bring you crowns in just one visit.. Ungerleider supports and participates in many community-service organizations and he actively participates in the annual CT Mission of Mercy Free Dental Clinic. Dr. Ungerleider and his wife Kathy have been married for more than 20 years. They have two wonderful children, Matthew and Jennifer. He loves spending time with his family as much as possible. In his spare time, Dr. Ungerleider also enjoys photography, golf, skiing, and actively cheering on his children in all their many activities.
